In 2019, UK Youth launched the UK Youth Movement to stand with young people and campaign for them to have equal access to high quality services in their community. We worked with a UK-wide network of more than 7,000 individuals, organisations and nation partners, who are committed to providing high quality services for young people. Our mission is to work as a nationwide movement to deliver innovative youth services, grow effective practice and campaign to increase support for youth work.
We work with Changemakers, people and organisations at the heart of the UK Youth Movement. UK Youth provides free support, training and networking opportunities to empower them to achieve our collective aims. We also work with Innovators who help UK Youth develop the UK Youth Movement and provide leadership to support changemakers in their local areas.
Together, we campaign for long-term investment in young people, to ensure they have access to high quality and universally available non-formal education and development opportunities. Last year we ran a series of workshops with young people about their lived experiences of youth violence, contributing to the Youth Violence Commission’s final report.
Youth engagement is embedded in all our work and we support our members to involve young people in decision making in their youth organisations and in their wider community.
Our UK Youth Voice group is compiled of young people aged 16-25 who represent every region and nation of the UK. Together they form our National Steering Board and are fundamental to everything we do, feeding into our strategy and overall direction. UK Youth Voice sits right at the heart of UK Youth.

The UK Youth Achievement Awards (UKYAAs) are our award framework which celebrate the achievements of all young people.
The UKYAAs – which are accredited by ASDAN- provide a framework for almost any activity: young people are encouraged to work together to decide which challenges are best for them, break those challenges down into manageable targets and then reflect on their achievements.
